Indiana woman pleads guilty to 3 felonies in stepson’s death

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) — A Fort Wayne lady has pleaded responsible to 3 felony expenses within the demise of her 9-year-old stepson, who died in December after struggling blunt pressure accidents.

The Journal Gazette studies that 30-year-old Alesha L. Miller pleaded responsible to 1 depend of aggravated battery and two counts of neglect of a dependent.

A better degree neglect cost will probably be dropped and Miller will face a 30-year jail sentence if a choose accepts her plea settlement.

A possible trigger affidavit alleges that Miller beat her stepson, Elijah Thomas Ross, with a picket “sorority paddle.” The Allen County coroner decided the boy died of a number of blunt-force accidents.
