Indiana Tech receives $1.7 million grant

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE)– On Monday, Indiana Tech obtained a 1.7 million grant to increase the college’s engineering heart at its foremost campus in Fort Wayne.

The college plans on utilizing the grant from the Don Wooden Basis to renovate the Zollner Engineering Middle by including a brand new robotics lab, a brand new Energy and Controls laboratory, and buying new state-of-the-art lab tools, in line with a launch from the college.

Along with the $1.7 million grant, Indiana Tech has invested $21.5 million into the venture, doubling the scale of the prevailing engineering heart.

The robotics lab is anticipated to be open to college students by the upcoming fall semester. The brand new Energy and Controls laboratory is ready to open as soon as the renovations to the Zollner Engineering Middle are accomplished within the fall of 2023.
