Human remains found in northwest Indiana marsh area
LAKE COUNTY — The Indiana Division of Pure Assets says partial skeletal stays had been present in a northwest Indiana marsh Saturday morning.
DNR says a waterfowl hunter noticed a bone and a bit of clothes whereas looking for a downed duck in Griffith.
The stays had been confirmed to be human and had been recovered by Indiana Conservation Officers and members of the Lake County Sheriff’s Workplace Dive Crew.
The stays haven’t been recognized and the investigation is ongoing.
