Search for missing 17-year-old in Lake Michigan
Officials were searching for a 17-year-old who went missing in Lake Michigan Tuesday afternoon.
PORTER COUNTY, Ind. – A 17-year-old swimmer was reported missing in Lake Michigan in northwest Indiana Tuesday afternoon.
The Porter Fire Department responded to the scene and searched Beverly Shores most of the evening. The search was called off later in the night due to darkness.
Officials said due to heavy winds and high waves, it was a dangerous day on the lake.
