12 tornadoes confirmed after storms sweep through northern Illinois, Indiana
CHICAGO (CBS) — Twelve tornadoes are confirmed to have touched down throughout northern Illinois and northern Indiana as robust storms swept by the world Friday.
In accordance with the Nationwide Climate Service, 12 tornadoes, together with three EF-2 tornadoes and the EF-1 that precipitated the deadly roof collapse in Belvidere, Illinois, have been confirmed.
Further investigation is ongoing.
NWS launched the next checklist of areas, together with the energy of every twister on the EF scale:

- EF-1 West Brooklyn, IL
- Close to Baileyville, IL (score TBD)
- EF-1 Machesney Park, IL
- EF-1 Davis Junction to Belvidere, IL
- Caledonia/Poplar Grove, IL (score TBD)
- EF-1 close to Wellington, IL
- EF-1 close to Stockland, IL
- EF-1 Lombard to Addison, IL
- EF-2 close to Oxford, IN
- EF-2 close to Fowler, IN
- EF-1 close to Remington, IN
NWS plans to research further injury in and close to Merrillville, Batavia, Plainfield, Plano-Montgomery, Frankfort-Park Forest, and Minooka/Channahon, amongst different areas.
