Severe thunderstorms may develop over much of northern Illinois this evening
Extreme thunderstorms could develop over a big part of northern Illinois and northwestern Indiana Sunday night.
The Nationwide Climate Service’s Chicago workplace has recognized a zone extending from west of Dixon to east of Valparaiso, Ind., as a possible space for extreme climate. The zone is located south of Rockford and Elgin and far of town of Chicago, however takes in Ottawa and Kankakee to the south.
Damaging winds, hail and even flash flooding could happen from 7 p.m. to midnight. Extra storms could arrive from the west after midnight, in response to the NWS.
