SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – You’ve likely already bought back-to-school supplies and it probably made a big dent in your wallet.
However, you could be getting some of that money back.

The Illinois Education Expense Credit allows parents and guardians to take a 25 percent tax credit on some purchases over $250 this year.
Plus, teachers can claim a credit up to $500.
