Oregon governor orders flags at half-staff for Illinois shooting victims
SALEM Ore. (KPTV) – Oregon Governor Kate Brown on Tuesday ordered all flags on state-owned properties to be flown at half-staff till sundown on July 9 in honor of the victims of a mass taking pictures in Highland Park, Illinois on Monday.
“The mindless act of gun violence that came about yesterday throughout a vacation celebration is horrific, and yet one more sobering reminder that we should work collectively to deliver an finish to those mindless acts,” Brown wrote.
The gunman who attacked an Independence Day parade in suburban Chicago fired greater than 70 rounds with an AR-15-style gun that killed not less than seven individuals, then evaded preliminary seize by dressing as a lady and mixing into the fleeing crowd, police mentioned Tuesday.
