LSU To Face Illinois State in Opening Game of Cayman Islands Classic

BATON ROUGE – The LSU males’s basketball staff will face Illinois State within the opening recreation of the 2022 Cayman Islands Traditional because the pairings for the event have been introduced on Wednesday by Caymax Sports activities LTD.

Eight groups will compete within the event held Nov. 21-23 at John Grey Gymnasium, simply minutes away from world well-known Seven Mile Seashore at George City, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands.

LSU will face Illinois State within the opening recreation at 11 a.m. EST (10 a.m. Baton Rouge time).

The remainder of the opening spherical may have Western Kentucky assembly Akron, Nevada dealing with Tulane and Rhode Island and Kansas state within the remaining recreation of the opening spherical.

Illinois State may have a brand new coach in Ryan Pedon, who was named head coach this previous March. Pedon spent the final 5 seasons at Ohio State with the Buckeyes.

Kansas State, Nevada and Western Kentucky have been initially scheduled to play within the 2020 Cayman Islands Traditional, which was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Akron and Illinois State will probably be making their second look within the event, having performed within the 2018 Cayman Islands Traditional.
