CHARLESTON, Ailing. (CBS) — A six-day worker strike at Japanese Illinois College has been suspended as staffers take into account a proposal from the administration.

The EIU College Professionals of Illinois determined to return to work at 8 a.m. Friday following a common membership assembly.

The total union membership will vote on the settlement someday subsequent week.

“We knew this would not be simple from the beginning, and we had been proper. Northeastern Illinois College held a vote to authorize a strike this week if no progress is made with a mediator.
