WASHINGTON – U.S. Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin (D-IL) and U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) immediately introduced a complete of $46,851,870 in U.S. Division of Well being and Human Companies (HHS) grants to help Head Begin providers for youngsters below the age of 5 in receiving wrap-around help in early studying and growth.
“This federal funding can be put towards constructing the muse for lifelong success for youngsters by supporting their early studying, well being, and household well-being,” Durbin stated. “I hope these organizations will thrive and open up new alternatives to native Illinois households with this additional help.”
