1 dead, 1 injured in plane crash near St. Jacob, Illinois
MADISON COUNTY, In poor health. (KMOV) – A aircraft with two individuals on board crashed close to St. Jacob, Illinois late Saturday morning. One of many occupants died, police inform Information 4.
The crash occurred round 11:30 a.m. close to the intersection of Keck Street and Illinois Route 4, which is close to St. Louis Metro East/Shafer Discipline, a small airport.
The aircraft, a White Piper Comanche 250, took from Shafer Discipline, and all of a sudden misplaced altitude and crashed. Police say the pilot, an Edwardsville native, was taken to a neighborhood hospital with life-threatening accidents. The co-pilot, 60-year-old Robert Binger, of Lake Metropolis, Florida, was pronounced lifeless on the scene.
It’s at the moment unknown why the aircraft all of a sudden misplaced altitude. The investigation is ongoing.
