Super Bowl LX odds: How sportsbooks view the Lions heading into next season

The early numbers aren’t all identical, but a few of the biggest sportsbooks look at the Detroit Lions in the same manner: They currently have the fifth-best odds to win Super Bowl LX at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., next year.

▶ DraftKings has the Lions at +900, behind the Eagles (+600), Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens (+700).

▶ On FanDuel, the Lions (+900) have the fifth-best odds, trailing the Chiefs and Eagles (+650), Ravens (+700) and Bills (+800).

Odds, of course, aren’t an exact science. After the Lions laid the smackdown on the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 11 this past season (and the Chiefs fell to the Bills that same week), Detroit had the best odds to win Super Bowl LIX. That turned out to be a bad bet for anyone who made it, as the Lions were upset by the Washington Commanders and eliminated from the playoffs in the divisional round.

The Lions will have some things to work through next season — they’ll have two new coordinators, with John Morton (offensive) and Kelvin Sheppard (defensive) — but the core of their roster is set to remain intact, as only a handful of starters from their 15-2 campaign aren’t on the books for 2025.

Couple that with general manager Brad Holmes’ track record of competent drafting (and head coach Dan Campbell’s ability to extract the best out of his players), and it’s no wonder why sportsbooks view the Lions as a top-five team.
