New restaurant, event space coming to historic GAR Building in Detroit

(WXYZ) — The historic Grand Military of the Republic (GAR) Constructing in Detroit will quickly be house to a brand new steakhouse and occasion house come spring.

That’s based on a press launch from Michigan-based actual property funding and administration firm Barbat Holdings, which lately acquired the constructing.

The 30,000 square-foot constructing is situated at 1942 Grand River Avenue; it was inbuilt 1899 as a gathering place for Civil Battle veterans.

Barbat says they plan to carry the constructing again to its gathering house roots via their hospitality division, Prime Ideas Detroit.
