Sheldon Thomas, 27, was sentenced Tuesday (April 4) for buying a Draco pistol for his good friend Ehmani Davis, who used the gun within the killing of Courts.

The 27-year-old who purchased the gun in Eastpointe admitted to mendacity to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) by falsely certifying that he was the customer of the weapon when he knew he was buying for Davis.

Thomas gave Davis the gun on the day of the acquisition and admitted that Davis gave him the cash to purchase the weapon. Thomas additionally admitted that he made a number of makes an attempt to purchase the gun for Davis.
