Man charged with firing shots at driver outside Detroit gas station

(CBS DETROIT) – A 27-year-old man has been charged with firing pictures at a driver exterior a fuel station on Detroit’s west facet. 

The capturing occurred simply after 7 p.m. on April 25 at a fuel station close to Livernois and Waverly Road. 

Police say James Taylor, 27, of Detroit, was caught on digicam firing pictures at one other driver. When the sufferer fled from his automobile, Taylor allegedly circled the fuel station a number of occasions looking for him. 

Police say Taylor then took the sufferer’s automobile from the fuel station. Fortuitously, nobody was harm in the course of the incident. 

“The kind of brazen habits alleged on this case is stunning, and it’s a miracle that somebody was not injured or killed,” U.S. Lawyer Daybreak Ison stated. “We won’t tolerate it any longer.”

Police say Taylor was on a pretrial launch in Wayne County for a distinct felony offense and on a tether on the time of the capturing. 

Taylor was arraigned Wednesday, Dec. 28 on two counts of felon in possession of a firearm and one rely of felon in possession of ammunition. Every cost carries a most of 10 years in jail. 

He has been detained pending trial.
