Man arrested after threatening to shoot up Bloomfield Township skating club with AR-15
BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (CBS DETROIT) – A person has been arraigned after he left a voicemail threatening to shoot up a Bloomfield Township skating membership with an AR-15, and police have been in a position to find him as a result of he recognized himself within the message.
On Tuesday, April 18, Benjamin Denning, 38, of Pontiac, left a threatening message for the Detroit Skate Membership positioned at 888 Denison Court docket, threatening to shoot up the membership and any officer that responded. Within the message, he left his first and final title.
Police found that Denning had a warrant for malicious use of telecommunications companies out of the forty eighth District Court docket from October 2020. This incident concerned inappropriate communications with court docket personnel.
The case was forwarded to the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Workplace, and a one-count misdemeanor warrant for misuse of telecommunications companies was issued on April 25.
On Wednesday, April 26, Denning was arraigned. He was denied bond for his threats in opposition to the skating membership and was given a $300,000 money bond for the earlier warrant.
