Detroit Promise celebrates scholarship recipients at Monroe Street Midway

DETROIT – Detroit Promise celebrates its scholarship recipients throughout its summer season celebration at Monroe Road Halfway.

The occasion occurred Thursday (June 30), with dozens of individuals having fun with skating, putt-put golf, a D-J, artwork installations, giveaways, and a Detroit Pistons basketball clinic.

The Detroit Promise provides a tuition-free path to an affiliate or bachelors diploma or technical certificates at 26 Michigan faculties.

“Our college students who’re graduating from highschool and faculty, in addition to these at present attending faculty, need to be celebrated,” stated Greg Handel, Vice President, Training, and Expertise, Detroit Regional Chamber. “Our partnership with Bedrock will enable us to host an pleasing occasion whereas celebrating the various accomplishments of our college students.”
