Big concert weekend in Detroit continues with Billy Joel playing Comerica Park

All eyes are on Downtown Detroit this weekend.

Saturday evening was the second of three straight nights of live shows at Comerica Park. Friday evening it was nation star Chris Stapleton and Saturday evening it was Billy Joel enjoying his first live performance at Comerica.

The live performance was initially set for 2020, so many Billy Joel followers purchased their tickets in 2019. The live performance was postponed to summer time 2021 solely to be pushed again once more for this weekend.

To some, an evening watching the Rock & Roll Corridor of Fame and Grammy Award winner carry out stay felt like future.

“I received tickets. About 30 years in the past and so they canceled the present, and I couldn’t go to the reschedule one. So that is my first time,” stated one fan.

Whereas for others, the evening is the beginning of one thing particular.

One mom defined that it was her teenage daughter that needed the tickets.

“She needed to go to Billy Joel for her first live performance,” she stated.

Because the music performed, followers sung these years of ready and anticipation away and loved the second.

“I first noticed Billy Joel in ‘87, so it’s well worth the wait. It’s basic,” stated one other fan.

The third and last huge music evening at Comerica Park this weekend options rock legends Mötley Crüe and Def Leppard, together with Poison and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts.
