Woman dies, man injured after being shot while driving in Cleveland’s Glenville neighborhood

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – A 43-year-old South Euclid woman was killed and a 43-year-old man was injured after they were shot while driving in a Jeep on the city’s East side.

Cleveland police said the shooting happened around 12:30 a.m. Thursday on Superior Avenue near Ansel Road. This is in the city’s Glenville neighborhood.

According to police, the couple stopped at E. 109th Street and Superior Avenue and a passerby called police.

When officers arrived, Quiana Butler was laying on he ground. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man was shot in the arm and transported to University Hospitals for treatment. His name has not been released.

The Jeep had also been struck multiple times.

Police said there are no arrests and anyone with information is asked to call 216-623-5464.
