Tom Cruise saves the summer movie season again with the thrilling ‘Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One’
CLEVELAND, Ohio — A couple of “Mission: Impossible”s ago, Alec Baldwin’s CIA chief Alan Hunley called Tom Cruise’s protagonist Ethan Hunt “the living manifestation of destiny.” You could say the same thing about the 61-year-old superstar. Because just when the summer movie season is in need of rescuing, Cruise has done it again.
This time, the film is “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One.” The seventh entry in the series is a highly entertaining, non-stop thrill ride that cements M:I’s current status as Hollywood’s best and most reliable action franchise. That concept would’ve sounded inconceivable a decade and a half ago following two lackluster sequels.
