Thursday storms leave thousands in Northeast Ohio without power
CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – Thousands living in Northeast Ohio are finding themselves in the dark following Thursday evening severe storms.
According to the FirstEnergy outage map, nearly 10,000 Northeast Ohio customers had no power as of noon Friday.
Thursday’s nights outages, according to FirstEnergy, mostly impacted customers in Ashland, Cuyahoga, Erie, Huron and Medina counties.
By Friday, the map showed widespread outages reported in Erie, Huron, Lucas, Lake, Ottawa and Sandusky counties.
FirstEnergy estimates the power will be restored to most areas by midnight Friday.
