Sheetz drops gas prices to $1.776, traffic builds as people wait to fill up

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – Sheetz is dropping gas prices to celebrate Independence Day, causing major traffic backups in the Cleveland area.

Officials say gas prices will be dropped to $1.776 to celebrate the Fourth of July, commemorating the year the Declaration of Independence was signed.

The Sheetz on Mayfield road in Mayfield Heights has backed traffic up in both directions Tuesday(WOIO)

North Ridgeville police are restricting traffic in the area of Lorain Road and Lear Nagel Road.

The discounted price will apply to regular, E85, Unleaded 88, ethanol-free, mid-grade and premium fuel grades at all Sheetz locations. The promotion does not apply to diesel fuel.
