Police officer shot in Cleveland’s Central neighborhood
CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – An on-duty Cleveland police officer was shot Tuesday evening close to the town’s Central neighborhood.
In response to officers, the officer was shot close to twenty eighth and Cedar Avenue.
As of seven:15 p.m. officers are nonetheless on scene within the 2800 block of Cedar Avenue investigating the incident.
The officer was reportedly shot within the arm or shoulder, and accidents look like non-life threatening.
“The officer is acutely aware and speaking at the moment and was conveyed to MetroHealth Medical Heart for therapy,” a launch from the division mentioned.
Officers responding the the scene reported one other cruiser being hit as they had been headed to the scene.
The automotive that hit them stopped and cooperated, and isn’t believed to be concerned within the preliminary incident.
Police haven’t but launched the circumstances of the incident, and the investigation remains to be ongoing.
