Parts of Northeast Ohio in the dark Monday morning due to widespread power outages

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – A number of residents in Northeast Ohio are waking up Monday morning to energy outages.

In response to the FirstEnergy outage map, at the very least 6,000 native prospects are with out energy as of 6 a.m.

This follows a spherical of extreme climate early Monday that sent several counties into a tornado warning.

Outages are being reported throughout Northeast Ohio, with most affected prospects residing in Cuyahoga and Summit counties.

Here’s a breakdown from FirstEnergy’s outage map:

  • Cuyahoga County: 5,501 prospects with out energy
  • Summit County: 803 prospects with out energy
