COLUMBUS, Ohio — An Ohio State football transfer target opted to simply move from one incoming Big Ten Conference program to another.

Former UCLA safety Kamari Ramsey committed to USC on Thursday. The honorable mention All-Pac 12 selection also recently visited Washington.

He is the second recent visitor who committed elsewhere in as many days. Former Cal linebacker Kaleb Elarms-Orr committed to TCU on Wednesday.

Ohio State already lost backup safeties Cameron Martinez and Kye Stokes to the transfer portal. One 2023 starter, Josh Proctor, completed his eligibility. Another, Lathan Ransom, could move on to the NFL Draft.

On Wednesday, coach Ryan Day said OSU would continue to bring in portal targets, including in a window before classes start in January. The next time they see Ramsey, though, he will be lining up against them.
