COLFAX, California — This is not the kind of hot chocolate that lovers of sweets want to see.

About 40,000 pounds of chocolate were destroyed when a tractor-trailer caught fire early Monday morning on Interstate 80 in Placer County, according to a news release from Cal Fire.

The fire destroyed the trailer and left the highway chocolate-coated, closing a section of I-80 for about two hours, ABC 10 reports.

The good news is there were no injuries and the driver was able to disconnect the truck from the trailer before the fire spread, the news release says. Action News Now reports the driver blames the vehicle’s brakes for starting the fire.
