NWS: Over 17 inches of snow in 12-hour span recorded in part of Northeast Ohio

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – Ashtabula County took the title for many snow through the lake impact snow occasion that spanned from Wednesday night into Thursday morning.

As of seven:30 a.m., the best snow whole was recorded in Monroe Middle, which is positioned in Ashtabula County, with 17.2 inches in a 12-hour timespan.

In Edgewood, 16.1 inches of snow had been recorded to the Nationwide Climate Service.

Situations in Ashtabula County had been so extreme at one level, the sheriff’s workplace declared a Degree 3 snow emergency to ban any non-essential journey.

In Lake County, 5.5 inches of snow was recorded in North Madison.

Further lake impact flurries are forecast to increase into Thursday afternoon.
