Northeast Ohio weather: Tracking warm sunshine Monday

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – Expect a gradual decrease in clouds throughout the day as high temperatures rise to the mid 60s. A northwest breeze will be between 5 and 10 mph.

For Sunday night, the sky will be mostly clear with a breeze picking up. This keeps low temperatures in the mid to upper 50s.

There is yet another chance to see the northern lights as another geomagnetic storm is in the forecast. For best viewing, head away from city lights, and look to the northern sky between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. It likely won’t rival Friday night., but there’s still a chance with clear skies.

Monday will be mostly sunny and mostly dry outside of an isolated shower or two. High temperatures surge back to around 80 degrees with a southerly breeze.

Rain and storms return on Tuesday with afternoon temperatures coming up just shy of the 70-degree mark.

Showers linger on Wednesday for the first part of the day at least. It will be a bit cooler with high temperatures in the mid 60s.

Thursday is pick day of the week as sunshine returns with high temperatures around 70 degrees.

Scattered rain chances are back in the forecast Friday and Saturday with afternoon temperatures climbing well into the 70s.
