CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – It’s going to be a beautiful weekend across northeast Ohio, for the most part.

Expect plenty of sunshine on Saturday.

Temperatures will rise into the upper 70s to around 80 degrees.

There is about a 10% chance of a passing shower or thunderstorm on Saturday afternoon but most areas will remain dry.

Sunday will be a touch warmer with widespread highs in the low 80s.

Mostly sunny skies will become partly sunny in the afternoon.

We have a slightly better chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms on Sunday, but the day will not be a washout by any means.

Anything that develops should be pretty hit or miss.

Our big weather story in the days ahead will be a significant warm up next week.

So far, this year, we have only hit 90 degrees once in Cleveland.

By the middle of next week, temperatures will soar into the upper 80s and lower 90s each day.
