Northeast Ohio weather: July-like ending to May; slightly cooler this weekend
CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – A sprawling area of high pressure will remain overhead through Thursday.
This will be followed by another ridge of high pressure, which will take hold through the first half of the weekend.
In the short term, temperatures will soar well into the 80s tomorrow and Friday.
Lake breezes will keep things slightly cooler along the lakeshore each afternoon.
After a very uneventful week of weather, a backdoor cold front will slip in on Saturday.
This feature will provide the focus for an isolated shower or thunderstorm Saturday afternoon.
The key word here is isolated; not everyone will see rain.
Don’t cancel your outdoor plans.
Just have a plan to run inside if you hear thunder.
Most areas will get through the day dry.
Saturday will be slightly cooler with highs in the low 80s.
In the wake of the front, Sunday will be the coolest day of the weekend with highs in the mid 70s.
