Northeast Ohio weather: A few storms early this evening; more storms late Friday afternoon

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – Our weather is going to be quite active through next Tuesday.

In the short term, the 19 First Alert Weather Team is forecasting scattered showers and storms this evening, mainly before midnight.

Some storms may produce brief bursts of heavy rain.

Temperatures will fall into the lower 60s overnight.

While most of the daylight hours will be dry on Friday, the latest data does indicate that another round of storms will move into northeast Ohio after 4:00 p.m.

Some storms may be strong.

If there are storms near downtown at 7:30 p.m., this will impact the Cleveland Browns pre-season game against the Commanders.

Temperatures will top out in the low 80s on Friday.

Occasional storms will continue through early Saturday morning.

While there will be several hours of dry time during the day Saturday, yet another round of scattered storms will develop Saturday afternoon.

Some storms may be strong to severe, especially south of Cleveland.

The main threats will be damaging winds and heavy rain.

Sunday will be the “pick day” of the weekend with plenty of sunshine and highs in the low 80s.
