Man shot outside of Neighbor’s Bar and Grill in Cleveland’s Bellaire-Puritas neighborhood

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – Cleveland police are investigating a shooting at Neighbors Bar and Grill that sent one person to the hospital Thursday.

Police say they responded to the scene around 1 a.m. for a man who had been shot.

Officers arrived to find a group of 15 to 20 people surrounding the victim, police say.

The victim was bleeding from the right arm with a makeshift tourniquet, according to police.

He was also bleeding from the hand and face, including a would on the hand exposing bone, police say.

While officers administered first aid, police say nobody in the crowd witnessed the shooting or heard anything before it.

Police say they learned shortly that the shooter left the scene.

Officers interviewed witnesses, who say they heard a total of seven or eight shots outside the bar.

A witness told police he saw the victim get kicked by two other men before they fled.

Police found several casings on the ground outside the bar.

The victim was transported to MetroHealth Hospital, according to the police report.
