CLEVELAND, Ohio – It’s easy to assume that once summer has gone The Land might slow down a little bit. Yeah, good luck with that! This is one of the busiest mid-October stretches in recent memory and we’re here for all of it.

With Rock Hall Inductions, stellar comedy options, classical music with a Swifty twist, Halloween-inspired haunts, dynamite live-and-local music and more, there is no shortage of things to see and do. A Browns/Bengals “Battle of Ohio” at Huntington Bank Field is in the mix, too.

Cleveland, OH – Residents in Cleveland and the surrounding areas should brace for a cooler, rainy Columbus Day. According to the National Weather Service (NWS), rain will persist throughout the day with an 80% chance of precipitation before tapering off slightly in the afternoon. Winds will pick up, reaching gusts of up to 31 mph, which could make road conditions even more dangerous. If you’re planning outdoor activities or driving in the area, it’s advisable to prepare for delays and wet conditions.

Looking ahead, Tuesday brings continued showers with high temperatures hovering around 50°F. Wind gusts of up to 20 mph will accompany the rain, making it feel even cooler. As the system moves out, conditions improve slightly by Wednesday, with highs near 52°F and mostly cloudy skies. By Thursday and Friday, Cleveland can expect a break in the rain with sunny skies and temperatures rising into the mid-60s.

For those traveling today or Tuesday, especially along major roads like I-80 and I-90, it’s important to check local traffic updates and stay cautious. Conditions will improve later in the week, but until then, be mindful of the weather’s impact on your commute.

Cleveland Guardians Manager Previews ALDS Game 5 Against Tigers

Here we are. After four games between the Cleveland Guardians and the Detroit Tigers, one more matchup will determine which team advances to the ALCS to face the New York Yankees.

Stephen Vogt has kept a calm head and cadence throughout the entire playoffs, and that was his same vibe as he previewed their matchup against the Tigers.

“I slept great. I watched that game last night. It was a really fun game to watch, and then went to bed. And, yeah, got some good sleep, ready to go,” said Vogt.

Cleveland’s skipper was asked about facing Tarik Skubal in again in Game 5, who was incredible in Detroit’s Game 2 victory. From Vogt’s perspective, Skubal is one of the game’s best, and there’s nothing better than facing top talent when the season is on the line.

“There’s nothing better than facing the best in an elimination game,” continued Vogt. “That’s what you want. You want to go after their best, and our guys are confident. We’ve seen him. We’re prepared, and now you just get to go play, see what happens.”

At the end of the day, Progressive Field is going to be packed. The entire baseball world will be watching Game 5, and this is the moment that players dream of as kids. The only real emotion Vogt said is in his clubhouse is excitement.

“It’s just exciting. I think that’s the vibe in the clubhouse right now. We’re all pumped. Like this is what you play for. You play for a chance to move on and Game 5. It doesn’t get any better than this.”
