Former East Cleveland police officer dies in motorcycle crash in Maryland

EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – The East Cleveland Police Division (ECPD) is mourning the motorbike crash demise of a former officer.

In line with Maryland State Police, Shaun Vincent Thomas died Sunday morning on I-270 in Ijamsville.

East Cleveland police referred to as Thomas “one of the vital respectful (and soft-spoken) people you’d ever wish to meet.”

The 44-year-old father just lately labored for ECPD as a commissioned auxiliary officer.

He beforehand served with the Cleveland Clinic Police Division and the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Workplace, in line with ECPD.

Maryland State Police stated Thomas was working a motorbike round 9 a.m. when it started to wobble and he misplaced management.

The motorbike fell over throughout the crash and Thomas was ejected, in line with Maryland State Police. He was pronounced lifeless on scene.
