Driver who ran over 5-year-old girl on the loose, Cleveland Police say

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – Cleveland Police confirmed a 5-year-old lady is in vital situation after she was hit by a automotive that drove off from the scene.

The crash occurred within the 3120 block of West fiftieth Avenue round 6:15 p.m. on April 23, Sgt. Jennifer Ciaccia stated.

Ciaccia stated the lady ran out between two parked automobiles on the west aspect of West fiftieth Avenue heading east.

The automotive was heading northbound on West fiftieth Avenue and struck the lady, launching her ahead and onto the bottom in entrance of the automotive, Ciaccia described.

The automotive then ran over the lady, Ciaccia confirmed.

Ciaccia stated the motive force didn’t cease and the automotive, probably a Toyota Camry or Yaris with expired plate M441831, was final seen going west on Fanta Avenue then south on West fiftieth Avenue.

The passenger returned to the scene and was detained by police, Ciaccia stated.

EMS took the lady to MetroHealth Medical Heart in vital situation, in keeping with Ciaccia.
