Cleveland Police: Shooting kills 1, injures 1

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – Cleveland police confirmed one person died and another person was hospitalized following a shooting on the city’s East Side on Saturday.

Cleveland Police Sgt. Ciaccia said the shooting occurred at around 8 p.m. in the 5700 block of Dibble Avenue, in the city’s Hough neighborhood.

Police found a 19-year-old man at the scene who suffered a gunshot wound to the head.

Police pronounced the 19-year-old, identified by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office as Bemetrius Hargrove, dead at the scene.

Officials also said the shooting injured another man, who suffered a gunshot wound to his side.

The man’s condition is unknown.

Police said the shooting is still under investigation, and more details will be released as they are received.
