CLEVELAND, Ohio — An unidentified Cleveland police sergeant is on administrative depart after the division says he shot a person who was in an altercation with one other man at a nightclub.

The 34-year-old suspect shot a 28-year-old man and are each at present at MetroHealth following the capturing that occurred about 2:30 a.m. Saturday at Belinda’s Nightclub on Madison Avenue close to West 98th Road, Cleveland police stated.

Officers and members of the Drive Investigation Workforce responded to a name a couple of capturing involving a Cleveland police sergeant, and, upon their arrival, they discovered the 28-year-old man and the suspect with gunshot wounds, police stated.

The person ran away from the suspect and the suspect ran after him and shot at him.

The sergeant ordered the suspect to drop the gun and fired his gun on the suspect, placing him, police stated. It’s unclear if the person complied and dropped the gun.
