CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is mourning the loss of life of Nala, an 18-year-old African lion, who was euthanized because of poor well being.

Zoo officers introduced her passing Thursday, stating that Nala was “an unimaginable ambassador to her species and can be tremendously missed.”

Nala got here to Cleveland in 2012, and her well being has declined lately.

In response to zoo officers, the loveable lion was “matriarch of the satisfaction” and all the time “dominated the roost.”
