Case Western Reserve looks ‘Toward a Different Horizon’ with free collaborative concert at The Cleveland Museum of Art

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland Museum of Artwork will play host to a free “collaborative efficiency” that includes songwriter, singer, poet and educator Camae Ayewa (Moor Mom); experimental poet, visible artist Lonnie Holley; poet and singer-songwriter Lee Bains, and soulful Cleveland collective Mourning [A] BLKstar. The live performance is scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24.

The “Towards a Completely different Horizon” live performance was organized by AJ Kluth, a lecturer within the Division of Music at Case Western Reserve College.

The live performance’s idea is loosely impressed by the idea of Afrofuturism, a cultural and creative aesthetic that explores your complete African-American expertise and seeks to attach the previous, current and way forward for the African-American Diaspora via artwork.
