4 Northeast Ohio police officers killed in the line of duty, remembered at ceremony
CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – Ohio Lawyer Normal Dave Yost will be a part of regulation enforcement officers from across the state to honor Ohio law enforcement officials killed within the line of responsibility.
The annual ceremony is held on the Ohio Peace Officer Coaching Academy in London, OH.
In keeping with Yost, 829 Ohio officers misplaced their lives within the line of responsibility since 1823.
Thursday’s ceremony can pay particular tribute to the eight peace officers who died from 2020-2022:
• Deputy Daniel J. Kin, Wyandot County Sheriff’s Workplace
• Deputy Matthew E. Yates, Clark County Sheriff’s Workplace
• Officer Dominic M. Francis, Bluffton Police Division
• Agent John D. Stayrook, Medina County Drug Job Power
Agent John D. Stayrook died after contracting COVID-19 whereas aiding Brunswick police throughout a drug-related visitors cease in January 2022.
