37-year-old man fatally shot trying to break into Cleveland home, police say
CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – A 37-year-old man was shot and killed after he kicked in the front door of a home on the city’s East side Monday morning, said Cleveland police.
Police said the 36-year-old male suspect was inside a woman’s home in the 13000 block of Rugby Rd. early Monday, when the victim, who also knows the woman, tried to break in.
The suspect shot the victim and then fled the scene.
When officers arrived, the victim was found upstairs with multiple gunshot wounds and pronounced dead at the scene.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner identified him as Timothy Kimbrough, of Cleveland
Police said the shooting remains under investigation.
