19 First Alert Weather Day: Scattered severe storms this evening and Saturday afternoon

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – Scattered storms will be moving through the area this evening, and some storms may be strong to severe.

The main threats will be strong, gusty winds, heavy rain, and frequent lightning.

A tornado cannot be ruled out.

Heavy rain may lead to localized flooding.

Storms will wind down by 8:00 a.m. Saturday.

At this time, the 19 First Alert Weather Team is forecasting clearing skies and warm, humid conditions for a big part of the day tomorrow.

However, if considerable clearing occurs, scattered storms will redevelop during the afternoon.

Some storms may be strong to severe.

The main threats will be damaging winds, heavy rain, and frequent lightning.

A tornado cannot be ruled out.

Storms will end after sunset.

(Note: If clouds linger for longer than anticipated, the severe weather threat will be lower.)

Sunday will definitely be the best, most dry day of the weekend.

Expect plenty of sunshine and highs in the low 80s.
