16-year-old student stabbed at Firestone Community Learning Center in Akron, police say

CLEVELAND, Ohio — A 16-year-old Firestone CLC scholar was stabbed Friday afternoon in a boys’ lavatory, Akron police mentioned.

The coed suffered non-life threatening accidents within the incident that occurred about 1:15 p.m. on the college on Fortress Boulevard close to Fairfax Street, Akron police mentioned.

A faculty useful resource officer detained a 14-year-old scholar inside the varsity instantly following the incident.

The coed was later taken to the police station for questioning. As of Saturday morning, police haven’t mentioned if the 14-year-old scholar has been formally charged.

A number of officers responded to the varsity after receiving studies of the coed being stabbed.

Investigators discovered there was a struggle inside one of many boys’ loos, ensuing within the 16-year-old scholar being stabbed, police mentioned. Police didn’t say what the struggle was about.

EMS personnel took the injured scholar to Akron Youngsters’s Hospital for remedy. It’s unclear if the coed has since been launched from the hospital.
