US 20 crash shuts down roadway in Michigan City after semi spills scrap metal, auto parts

MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. (WLS) — A semitrailer carrying scrap metallic and auto elements rolled over in northwest Indiana Thursday morning, inflicting police to close down roadways within the space.

Michigan Metropolis and LaPorte County police stated the truck crashed someday earlier than 7 a.m. at U.S. 20 and S.R. 212 in Michigan Metropolis.

Every thing is shut down in all instructions across the intersection after a part of the truck’s load spilled on the roadway, police stated.

There have been no main accidents, and police didn’t have an estimate for when the intersection could be reopened.

S.R. 212 was already shut down between U.S. 20 and U.S. 12 attributable to ongoing building.
