CHICAGO (WLS) — Monty the piping plover has died unexpectedly.

He returned to Montrose Seashore in April, leaving everybody questioning the place his feathered girl good friend, Rose, was.

The lovebirds grew to become well-known in 2019 once they have been noticed at Montrose Seashore on Chicago’s North Aspect.

Birders have been ready for Rose to reach in Chicago from Florida.
