Man who spotted NYC subway shooting suspect, flagged down officers speaks out

NEW YORK — The person who recognized alleged Brooklyn subway shooter Frank R. James on the road and alerted law enforcement officials of his presence is talking out.

Zack Tahhan stated James was casually strolling down the road amongst unsuspecting New Yorkers within the East Village Wednesday.

“I see him, he have bag and he was strolling on the sidewalk, he put the bag on the street,” Tahhan stated. “Folks was strolling behind him. I instructed them, ‘Guys, hold removed from him. Please, this man goes to do one thing.’ These folks suppose that I’m loopy. No one tries to consider me. I instructed them, ‘Guys, belief me, that is the man.’ And I see the police strolling from over there. I instructed the police, ‘That is the man, he did the issue in Brooklyn, this man, catch him, guys, catch him.’ And so they catch him, thank God, we catch him.”

It is the eyes and instincts of New Yorkers, ingrained with “When you see one thing, say one thing,” that helped get the fugitive into custody.

Tahhan adopted his intestine and flagged down law enforcement officials who have been patrolling within the space of St. Marks Place and First Avenue.

Cellular phone video exhibits James, carrying a blue shirt and a black baseball cap, calmly being walked to the squad automobile in handcuffs. Eyewitnesses say there was no incident as officers initially approached.

There had been a citywide manhunt since Tuesday morning after police say James opened hearth right into a crowded subway in Sundown Park in the course of the peak of rush hour.

James was taken into custody with out incident and can face federal fees that might land him in jail for the remainder of his life.
