Local activists rally for gun safety following Texas school shooting, Buffalo massacre

CHICAGO (WLS) — Native activists have been rallying for gun security after the latest mass shootings throughout the nation.

College students at Glenbrook South Excessive College organized Saturday’s occasion in Glenview’s Jackson Park.

Milagros Burgos misplaced her daughter to gun violence in Chicago in 2014.

“That decision that no father or mother ever of their life desires to get, desires to listen to. It was one thing that we by no means in 1,000,000 years thought it will occur to anybody that we knew, not to mention us,” she stated.

Protesters known as on the federal government to cross stricter gun legal guidelines.

In Englewood, the group gathered for its annual “Peace Fest.” They wore orange to honor gun violence victims, survivors and their households.
