Layla Salazar, 4th grader among Uvalde victims killed in school shooting, has ties to Chicago area
The mother and father of 11-year-old Layla Salazar used to stay in Elgin and nonetheless has household within the space.

Now, her mother and father, two brothers and three grandparents are mourning their loss.
The fourth grader is amongst 19 college students and two academics killed when a gunman attacked their faculty Tuesday.

Layla’s father Vincent Salazar instructed the Related Press that each morning, as he drove his daughter to highschool, he would play “Candy Baby O’ Mine” by Weapons ‘N Roses and so they’d sing alongside.
Members of the family of Layla and the opposite victims are nonetheless in disbelief over what occurred.
