Girl, 10, rescued by lifeguards from Lake Michigan at 31st Street Beach

CHICAGO (WLS) — A ten-year-old woman was rescued at thirty first Road Seashore Monday, the primary water rescue of the season for Chicago lifeguards.

Chicago police stated the woman was noticed face down within the water within the 3000-block of South Fort Dearborn at about 2:15 p.m. Lifeguards pulled her from the water.

Cellular phone video exhibits the frenzy to save lots of her.

“After I seen the gang getting greater, I instantly ran to the scene,” stated Lashawn Ray, witness. “Her eyes have been behind her head. She was laying along with her arms wobbling. She was lifeless!”

Officers stated a lifeguard then revived her by performing CPR.

She was taken by ambulance to Comer Kids’s Hospital. Police stated her situation was initially reported to be good. No additional particulars concerning the woman or the circumstances of her rescue have been instantly obtainable.
